Lynches' Gift Boosts Skate Park Fund Raising

Carolyn and Peter Lynch recently announced a challenge grant of $500,000 from the Lynch Foundation to the Charles River Conservancy for the skate park under the Leonard Zakim Bridge in East Cambridge. "Having seen what sports did for our girls ... we see the Charles River Skate Park as something that helps all children," said Carolyn Lynch.

The grant requires a match of $100,000 and will bring the total amount of money raised to just over $2 million, significantly closer to the project's $2.3 million fundraising goal. The Lynches were honored at an October 18 lunch for their generosity.
